Riddles are snakes coiled around trunks…
Riddles are snakes coiled around trunks
Their diamond patterns like questions asked
Dawn to dusk, slithering in skulls
And consume whole ideas we have
Shedding truth’s skin with forked tongues
Two thoughts turn the clean fang
And poisonous jaw
Waiting for answers, waiting for bites
Decomposing two thoughts
And no clues
But stomach filled with rabbit, birds, and deer
And new skin like riddles asked
Long long ago when nature began
And man wondered about their origins
